We have had dinner here twice during our stay in Port McNeil and it will probably be once more before we leave. The food here is amazing. Two of his had the smoked meatloaf with macaroni and cheese last night and it was SO good. Tonight we had the smoked octopus appetizer - also so delicious. Followed by prosciutto wrapped halibut. The chef smokes everything himself and tries to use local and fresh ingredients whenever possible. Home made ice cream for dessert. And the glass of wine is big! Service is friendly and attentive. Your cant go wrong to eat here! Oh, and breakfast is also really good!
2 stars for not listing your times on your menu. Waste of my time. 4pm and nowhere to eat but a subway and grocery store.
The wait staff do not deserve this star...I had to give it in order to give my review...walked in sat at the only clean table in the place waited for 10 minutes before I had to ask for menus for my husband and I while we decided on what we would have for breakfast...another couple came in sat at a dirty table and then 2 guys came in and sat at another dirty table....we sat for another 10 minutes waiting ...the waitress walked right by us and straight to the table with the 2 guys....first come first serve ....teach your wait staff proper etiquette
Excellent food made fresh on site. Great addition to Port McNeill dining, especially for the upscale diner.
